About the Book:

Cameron Westcott has spent eight years recovering from heartbreak by keeping romantic entanglements casual and simple. He’s never minded being called a manwhore, but after two years immersing himself in his new winery, he might be ready for the next chapter. Especially when he meets a sexy wine distributor—only she says she isn’t interested.
Following a bitter divorce, Brooke Ellis relocated to Ribbon Ridge to rebuild her life. Things will never be the same for her, and she’s coming to terms with that reality when she meets charming, persistent Cam. She can’t imagine a happy ever after given his reputation, but he makes her feel so good.
As the sparks between them intensify, they’re both hesitant to commit for very different reasons. Or are they really just sabotaging their own futures? If they can trust each other—and themselves—they may realize that what they share is too good to let slip away.

My Review

From time to time, when I finish a book and put it down, I feel like the character's lives are moving on without me, and I'm missing something. So is the case with So Good by Darcy Burke. Fans of Ribbon Ridge will love how this book picks up where the Ribbon Ridge series leaves off, but readers new to the Willamette Valley will easily pick up So Good and fall in love with Cam and Brooke as I did.

Cam and Brooke are both dealing with the emotional fallout of previous relationships and their relationship has a lot of push and pull before and AFTER they get together. Neither of them can decide whether they want to act on what they agree is a smoking hot attraction and it's fun to watch them struggle. BUT, there were several times that I wanted to reach into the pages of the book and smack Brooke and say, "What are you thinking?"

As the truth about Brooke's background comes out, the book takes a bit of an emotional turn but I love how Cam handles what Brooke has said to him and how he chooses to react to that information. That was a perfect reaction, just the one she needed.

I'll go to bed tonight dreaming about Cam and wishing for my own Westcott - there are still two single brothers, after all!

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
